IAAP Nordic is the Nordic chapter of the global industry organisation IAAP, the International Association of Accessibility Professionals. The local branch is run by the Funka Foundation. By joining a local branch, you get all the benefits of a large international organisation in terms of knowledge and experience, as well as the opportunity to talk and learn from people working in a Nordic context.
IAAP is a member driven organisation for professionals working in accessibility where you have the opportunity to meet like-minded people, network and learn from the international elite in the field. The purpose of IAAP is to define, promote and improve the profession of accessibilitys expert globally through networking, training and certification.
IAAP is a democratic organisation governed by our members through a global council and local committees and councils. At the global level, the UN initiative G3ict runs the organisation.
IAAP Nordic has members in the Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. We offer leadership, knowledge exchange, webinars and a forum for discussion in the Nordic languages, based on the conditions and regulations of the Nordic countries. Our members are automatically members of the international organisation, at no extra cost.
