Local founders
IAAP is a membership organisation. Its activities are based on individuals and organisations involved in accessibility issues working together. Thanks to the early support of a number of organisations, IAAP Nordic, the first non-English speaking local chapter of IAAP, was established.
To solve accessibility problems, all parts of society are needed. That is why breadth is important to us. The IAAP Nordic chapter was founded by a foundation, a disability organisation, two universities and a bank, with the support of a commercial company: Kehitysvammaliitto, the organisation for people with cognitive disabilities in Finland, Certec, Lund University in Sweden, Oslo Metropolitan University in Norway, Handelsbanken in Sweden and Funka Nu AB in Sweden.
